At Avicenna Wageningen, we are committed to creating meaningful academic and cultural experiences for students. As a student association, we organize several lectures and knowledge-sharing events throughout the year, covering topics that are relevant, thought-provoking, and connected to our students’ backgrounds and interests.
In the past year, we have hosted a variety of lectures exploring both religious, scientific, and social themes. These included:
- Plants of the Qur’an
- Scientific facts mentioned in the Qur’an
- Critical ways to engage with Islamophobia
- Sudan in crisis
- Various religious and educational lectures
Each lecture is designed to encourage learning, reflection, and open discussion among students from different academic and cultural backgrounds.
Our goal is to organize lectures that are not only informative but also meaningful for the student community in Wageningen and beyond. We carefully select topics that relate to identity, faith, science, society, and global issues.
By doing so, we aim to create a space where students can expand their knowledge while engaging in respectful and insightful dialogue.
We always welcome students who are interested in learning and discussion. Whether you want to attend or contribute, you are invited to be part of our lecture series.
If you have ideas for future topics, we strongly encourage you to share them with us. New perspectives help us keep our program relevant, diverse, and impactful.
If you are interested in student lectures in Wageningen, Islamic educational talks, or cultural and academic discussions, Avicenna Wageningen welcomes you.
Join us to learn, reflect, and grow together through knowledge.
